With higher coinsurance up to 90%, insurance will reimburse you more for any covered portion of your vet visit, leaving you with only 10% as your responsibility, instead of the base plan’s 20%. Coinsurance kicks in after your deductible is met each year.
Annual Deductible
Deductibles can be upgraded to be as low as $100, compared to the base plan’s $500. When your pet visits the vet, you pay a part of the bill first, which is called a deductible. Once the year is up and your policy renews, the deductible amount is reset.
